POSITION:
Middle School Science Teacher SALARY RANGE:

Salary Range of $47,750 - $103,021 based on 25/26 Salary Schedule. We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience. If you would like more information please email smcclary

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Minimum

    B.

    A. or

    B. S. in Education with Secondary Science endorsement/emphasis
  • Will consider candidates with an elementary education endorsement if they have 24 semester hours of science or can pass the science assessment to add that endorsement; for example a B.A. in Elementary Ed with 24 semester hours of science would be eligible to be highly qualified as a middle school science teacher
  • Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teachers' Certificate/License in Secondary Science Education from Colorado Department of Education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in middle school science.
  • Computer and Technology skills preferred.
  • Able to work as a team member/experience with Middle School science and grade level teaming is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Coaching available.
