The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Variable Hours Officer at the School of Nursing will work closely with Dr. Caceres, the Principal Investigator, on several research projects focused on cardiovascular health. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Variable Hours Officer will assist with data collection and analysis for research projects.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience conducting health equity research and working in a team-oriented environment with frequent interaction with research participants, graduate students, and research staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with statistical analyses to address complex research questions related to cardiovascular health
  • Create and manage research databases and facilitate data collection using REDCap
  • Lead data extraction, cleaning, and transformation processes to prepare datasets for statistical analysis
  • Prepare manuscripts and abstracts for dissemination of research findings
  • Conduct literature reviews as needed and support grant development and submission activities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams on study design, data analysis, and interpretation of findings
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic data capture systems
  • Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment
  • Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals
  • Capable of working effectively in research groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in public health, psychology, nursing or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in R, SAS, or Stata for data manipulation and analysis
