Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Cardiology

Location: NJ

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Cardiology team in an adult outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small, fast-paced department
, providing high-quality clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care.

• Prepare patients for cardiology consultations, exams, and procedures.
• Obtain and record vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and heart rate.
• Perform and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG tests as ordered.
• Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Manage and maintain patient medical records accurately in the EMR system.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and documentation within the department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support patient care plans.

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from one of the following:
• AAMA, AMT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP, or NCCT.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CMA experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Prior experience in Cardiology or Internal Medicine preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask and work effectively within a small, high-volume practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
