Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Tax Associate with the skills and drive to grow into a Tax Manager role. You’ll work closely with clients, handle complex engagements from start to finish, and begin taking on review responsibilities. Over time, you’ll supervise a small junior staff and step into full management.
This is a client-facing role that offers direct mentorship, exposure to advanced tax planning, and a clear path to leadership within a growing firm.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
- Support client onboarding and setup (including Quick Books and workflow systems)
- Maintain monthly financial records for business clients
- Perform / review bank reconciliations, month-end close, and payroll support
- Prepare / review financial statements
- Communicate directly with clients and tax authorities
- Assist in implementing tax-saving strategies for clients
- Collaborate with team members to refine processes and improve efficiency
- Develop into a supervisory role over junior staff
- 5+ years of tax preparation experience (individuals and small business)
- 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (cash & accrual basis)
- Active CPA or EA license (required)
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online (including new client setup, chart of account management, rules, etc)
- Proficiency in Pro Series preferred
- Knowledge in international tax a plus
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax code for individuals and small businesses
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset
