your specific responsibilities

directs and supervises the planning efforts under the transportation planning unit within the planning and environmental management office (plemo). Develops and implements unit activities to successfully achieve a coordinated effort in the analysis and evaluation of plans, programs, and needs among stakeholders (metropolitan planning organizations (mpos), cities, counties, other agencies, other fdot offices, and internal/external customers). Manages and coordinates with stakeholders regarding various transportation plans and processes (florida transportation plan (ftp), mpo long-range transportation plans (lrtps), statewide/regional/district wide plans, areawide transportation planning initiatives, unified planning work programs (upwps), transportation improvement programs (tips), state transportation improvement programs (stips), and local comprehensive plans) and their associated revisions and amendments.

Plans, develops, documents, and maintains communication and coordination strategies for effective implementation of various transportation plans and processes, and the department's work program and transportation planning goals. Attends meetings and oversees the coordination with regional planning councils and the department of economic opportunity (deo). Monitors effectiveness of all section-related planning programs, oversees and participates in state and federal reviews and audits, assures plans and activities supports regional, inter-regional, and state level planning strategies and goals.
