Brief Description
Resolve Marine, our employees, and our dedication to the environment set us apart. The Maritime Compliance Associate (Marine Compliance Dispatcher) works onsite at Resolve Marine's office in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This individual will be part of a team providing mission-critical monitoring, operational risk assessment, and reporting to ensure safe maritime navigation in Alaska using AIS, Satellites, terrestrial Antennae, and Marine Navigation Radars.
Working Hours
- 3rd Shift / Night Shift
- 4 Days A Week
- 10 Hour Shift
Position Responsibilities
- Monitor vessel traffic to detect anomalies and ensure vessel movements minimize environmental threats.
- Provide briefings and reports based on analysis to the APC Operations Manager.
- Communicate with co-workers, vessels, regulatory authorities, and clients regarding anomalies.
- Assist in regulatory compliance and vessel movement planning systems.
- Initiate response actions for vessel emergencies or oil spills per procedures.
- Maintain detailed logs, records, and reports.
- Support emergency response functions.
- This role operates on a 7-day, 24-hour rotational basis and may require extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, including emergency callback during crises.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Degree plus technical training or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to provide briefings based on analysis.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, Office Suite, Google Earth, Maps, and reading nautical charts.
- Strong research and writing skills, team-oriented.
- Preferred:
Maritime or Engineering background, maritime navigation experience.
ADA Requirements
- Sit or stand, use hands, exposure to office environment, talk/hear, see.
Travel Requirement
Up to 0% travel; additional travel may be required based on operational demand.
