We are seeking a skilled Marine HVAC Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and servicing of air conditioning systems aboard luxury yachts and refit projects. This full-time position is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with periodic travel to domestic and international shipyards. The role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in high-end marine environments.
2.Core Responsibilities
- Install marine HVAC systems on refit and new-build yachts under the direction of senior technicians or project leads.
- Assist with system commissioning, testing, and operational verification.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant connections in accordance with manufacturer and marine standards.
- Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics.
- Support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and service calls following installation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional work spaces aboard vessels and in shipyards.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with captains, crew, and shipyard personnel during onboard work.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience as an HVAC technician; marine experience strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and HVAC installation practices.
- Familiarity with yacht or marine environments is a strong advantage.
- Technical training or certification in HVAC, mechanical systems, or marine engineering preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for shipyard or onboard projects.
- Must be legal to work in the USA
- Hourly Pay: $27 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
