The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of reverse osmosis (RO) water pump systems used in watermakers. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work independently in the field to ensure reliable system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Install reverse osmosis water pump systems and related components for watermakers
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on RO systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Inspect systems to ensure proper operation, pressure, and water quality
- Replace pumps, membranes, filters, seals, and other system components as needed
- Follow manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and installation procedures
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and recommendations
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding parts, scheduling, and service updates
- Travel to job sites as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
- 2+ years of experience installing or servicing reverse osmosis systems, watermakers, pumps, or similar mechanical systems preferred
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and marine or industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods
- Ability to work in tight or enclosed spaces
- Familiarity with high-pressure pumps and filtration systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
This position may involve fieldwork in marine, industrial, or remote environments. Exposure to water, mechanical equipment, and varying weather conditions is expected.
