Responsibilities
- Install,terminate, and test Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform infrastructure cabling for access control systems, IT racks, and cameras.
- Install and program IP security cameras, access points, and IP phones.
- Mount,dress, and maintain network racks and patch panels.
- Troubleshoot,diagnose, and repair low voltage systems as required.
- Follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Provide documentation of completed work and project updates.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Low Voltage Technician, Structured Cabling Installer, or equivalent role.
Knowledge of low voltage systems (98V and under).
Skilled in Cat6 cabling, fiber optics, access control, and security camera systems.
Familiarity with network racks, AP installation, and VoIP/IP phone systems.
Must have personal tools and reliable transportation.
OSHA certification preferred, but not required.
Terms of Work1099 Contractor Position (not W-2 employment).
Compensation: $18/hr entry level; up to $28/hr with 5+ years verifiable experience.
Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
Assignments available across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.
