Dayton-Granger, Inc., a long-standing aerospace manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our in-house Facilities & Maintenance team. This hands‑on position will be responsible for general building repairs and upkeep—including light carpentry, drywall patching, and basic electrical tasks.

If you're a skilled tradesperson with experience across multiple maintenance areas and enjoy working in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we’d love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across office and production areas
  • Handle drywall patching, light framing, painting, and minor carpentry repairs
  • Conduct light electrical work (e.g., replacing outlets, ballasts, fixtures, and switches)
  • Support upkeep of flooring, ceiling tiles, shelving, and facility fixtures
  • Assist with moving, setting up, and maintaining facility equipment or work spaces
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Respond to facility repair requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized work spaces and help track tools and materials
  • Follow all company safety procedures and ensure work meets OSHA standards
  • Support broader maintenance initiatives as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, carpentry, or general contracting
  • Ability to perform basic electrical repairs and carpentry work with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in safe use of power tools, ladders, and hand tools
  • Basic understanding of drywall, framing, paint, and fixture repair
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and written skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and safe work practices
  • Basic plumbing or HVAC skills a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
