Location

Field/Virtual in Broward or Palm Beach County. Hybrid work model: at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Candidates residing beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.

Job Summary
  • This position manages an assigned territory of core Foremost Independent Agencies, responsible for prospecting and appointing new agencies, driving profitable premium growth, and achieving financial and operational goals.
  • It serves as the primary relationship between the agency and the company, developing and managing agency partnerships and promoting the Forever suite of Foremost products and services.
  • The role is an individual contributor who works independently with minimal guidance, may mentor less experienced team members, and is remote with required weekly field travel.
Essential Job Functions
  • Owns and manages the assigned territory, driving profitable growth to meet financial and operational targets; leads territory tactical plans, agency management processes, and performance measurement.
  • Builds and cultivates mutually beneficial agency partnerships in person, applying a consultative sales framework and acting as a trusted advisor while delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training.
  • Creates, maintains, and executes high‑quality agency strategies, holding agents accountable to achieve written premium, profit, and new business goals; collaborates on carrier consolidation, agency storefront expansion, and new product rollouts.
  • Ensures quality new business flow, appropriate mix of business, and overall risk management of individual agency books and the overall territory, utilizing internal reporting and tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and serves as a subject matter specialist to support internal business partners and solve problems; may mentor or coach less experienced team members.
Physical Actions
  • Job performed in‑person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved location; may include field locations.
  • Work environment is indoor, climate‑controlled, with regular distractions from office equipment and chatter.
  • Occasional field work outdoors, exposure to weather elements, and movement such as lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Tasks include typing, mousing, and fine motor work up to a full shift; may involve bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching overhead.
  • Requires good vision and hearing to navigate and communicate in the workplace.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CIC, CPCU, or insurance licenses preferred upon hire.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum five years of field insurance sales and management work experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Experience achieving consistent profitable premium growth and sales success.
  • IA Distribution territory management experience highly preferred.
