Role Overview

As an Account Executive you will sell new business and manage a growing client portfolio through the value of CoStar products. This consultative role empowers you to build relationships, engage new clients, and oversee the entire sales process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by promoting the value of our products to the commercial real estate industry and beyond.
  • Effectively manage and expand your portfolio of clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and growth.
  • Develop expertise in CoStar’s products and the commercial real estate market.
  • Leverage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, product demonstrations, closing, onboarding, training, and client renewal.
  • Conduct in-person meetings and deliver product demos to brokers, owners, corporations, investors, and other commercial real estate professionals.
  • Represent CoStar at industry events, cultivating long‑term relationships and a professional network.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited not‑for‑profit university or college.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and a commitment to prior employers.
  • Client‑management and post‑sale experience.
  • Current and valid driver’s license. Satisfactory driving record check prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B outside sales experience in data, research, analytics, commercial real estate, financial services, business intelligence, marketing, or related platforms.
  • Client‑facing experience in the commercial real estate industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and proven ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Keen interest in the commercial real estate market and willingness to develop expertise in CoStar’s product suite.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Results‑driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and market knowledge.
