Position Summary

The Sales Development Representative plays a critical role in the SaaS sales funnel by identifying, contacting, and qualifying inbound and outbound prospects. This role is focused on early-stage pipeline development and works closely with Account Executives and Marketing to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and Qualify Leads:
  • Research and reach out to potential customers via email, phone, Linked In, and other channels.
  • Execute cold outreach strategies to generate meetings and demos with target personas (e.g., IT leaders, finance execs, operations).
  • Respond promptly to inbound interest, conduct discovery calls, and assess fit before passing to sales.
  • CRM Management:
  • Track activity, leads, and engagement in platforms like Salesforce, Hub Spot, or Outreach.io.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to coordinate follow-ups, target accounts, and feedback loops.
  • Qualification Criteria:
  • Use frameworks such as BANT, CHAMP, or MEDDIC to evaluate opportunities.
  • Response and engagement rates
  • 1+ years of sales or business development experience (preferably in SaaS)
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy with CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Resilient, competitive, and coachable mindset
  • Understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue
  • Curious and consultative in approach
  • Goal-driven, process-oriented, and metrics-focused
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup or high-growth environment
