Position:
Business Insurance Account Executive on the Business Insurance team.

• Makes appointments and follows up with clients/prospects to obtain sufficient information to prepare complete submissions/applications, supplemental applications, spreadsheets, etc.
• Reviews each line of business to determine coverage gaps and recommended enhancements.
• Underwrites risk per MMA’s procedures, using agency resources and relationships to identify available standard and non-standard carriers and programs for each line of business.
• Submits accounts to viable markets and negotiates best coverage, price, terms and conditions, ensuring reasonable profitability for the agency and company while providing the best coverage for the client.
• Compiles quotations, proposals, schedules of insurance, and required forms.
• Makes recommendations based on client exposures and presented quotes, suggesting changes when appropriate.
• Presents proposals and discusses coverages with clients when appropriate.
• Keeps producers informed of problems, price changes, coverage changes, etc. on an ongoing basis.
• Ensures proper payment arrangements are agreed to by the purchaser in line with agency and company procedures.
• Keeps abreast of the competitive posture of the agency and changes in the marketplace.
• Delivers or oversees delivery of policies and endorsements within a reasonable time of receipt at the agency.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active 2-20 insurance license
• 7+ years of commercial lines insurance marketing of middle-market and/or risk management accounts
• Strong property knowledge
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer-service skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Thorough knowledge of insurance terminology and products and their usage
• Thorough knowledge of marketing and placement
• Experience with Large Property Schedules and experience in Healthcare and Non-Profits, Golf/Country Clubs, Technology sectors

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher; experience with Sagitta and/or Image Right.
