• Prepare and serve food and beverage offerings within a coffee house setting
• Communicate effectively with guests and associates
• Represent Omni standards when handling guest complaints and issues
• Remain professional in all situations
• Be willing to work in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Follow proper uniform and grooming standards
• Maintain lobby public areas
• Assist with monthly inventory, if necessary
• Maintain a clean workspace throughout the entire shift
• Follow proper procedures for tendering transactions
• Maintain a cash bank and adhere to cash handling procedures
• Ensure accuracy of guest room numbers for room charges
• Collaborate with other departments to satisfy guest needs
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures
• Demonstrate proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures
• Adhere to policies regarding employee purchases and discount standards
• Follow proper procedures for logs, receipts and returns
• Follow proper procedures for accepting credit cards and checks
• Ensure each beverage is consistently prepared and served to Omni standards
• Proactively seek ways to improve the guest experience

• Minimum 1-year customer service experience in food/beverage and/or retail
• Previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience required
• Clear and pleasant verbal and written communication in English with guests, management and co-workers
• Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
• Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside your department
• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with all products and methods including coffee, espresso, specialty drinks and retail items

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period
• Requires repetitive motion, with constant use of hands and arms

• Desktop computer (Opera, Micros terminal and Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner
• Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, dishware, silverware, glassware, espresso machine
• Turbo Chef, and other common hotel/food service equipment
• Cleaning supplies such as vacuum, mop, broom, duster and chemicals
