LocationFort Lauderdale Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Opening in Fall 2025. Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new food and beverage options, a Natural Spring inspired full-service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces.
The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention Center. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center.
To provide exemplary service all guests according to Omni standards.
Responsibilities- Adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, and standards
- Greet guests by utilizing the All-In impression standards set forth by Omni
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards as directed by leadership
- Suggestively sell items and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections
- Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
- Record transaction in MICROS system in a timely manner
- Adhere to cash handling standards
- Ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
- Present accurate check to guest and process payment
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- Station set-up and breakdown/side-work
- Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership
- Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained
- Minimum 1 year serving experience
- Must acquire TIPS and Serv Safe certifications
- Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
- Previous cash handling experience required
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers
- Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
- Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments
- Micros terminal, printer, food and beverage items
