An exciting new luxury apartment community in Downtown Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas is seeking an experienced and ambitious multifamily Leasing Associate starting in February. This full-time in-office role will execute all aspects of the leasing process, including lead qualification, property tours, follow up and negotiation, application processing, move-in coordination, and reporting.
Responsibilities- Presenting the property favorably to prospects, partners, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with potential residents.
- Qualifying prospects and converting those conversations into property tours.
- Following up with prospects directly via email, text, and phone.
- Documenting leasing activity and forecasting the leasing pipeline.
- Advising on and implementing marketing plans and promotions.
- Managing the leasing workflow to guide prospects through completing applications, verifying income, performing background checks, submitting documents, and communicating their approval status.
- Coordinating move-ins with the on-site management team.
- Inspecting model and available units, ensuring leased units are move-in ready, and delivering move-in gifts.
- Fostering referral partnerships with local universities, brokerages and employers.
- Participating in and presenting at frequent on-site resident community events.
- Supporting the property management and maintenance teams regarding resident issues.
- Participating in the lease renewal process.
- 2-5 years experience in Class A multifamily leasing, particularly lease-ups.
- Deep familiarity with Entrata property management software preferred.
- Infectiously positive attitude and ability working effectively under pressure.
- Warm, energetic and conscientious work style, capable of working with anyone and mediating customer service issues.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Four year college degree preferred.
- Persuasive written and oral communication skills.
- Represent the property and brand in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Commission on individually acquired leases.
- Periodic performance bonuses.
- Heavily discounted on-site housing.
This role requires being on-site and physically able to conduct property tours and do light lifting (e.g. stocking a refrigerator) on a daily basis.
