Position: Groundskeeper/ Pool & Beach Attendant (Full-Time/ Weekends)

Overview

As a Groundskeeper, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the building/facility.

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pay Range: $16 - $18/hr

Schedule:

Thurs-Mon 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities
  • Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
  • Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
  • May be required to assist in the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
  • Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
  • Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Must have experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower and others.
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
  • Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft)
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Walk and climb stairs
  • Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
  • Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
Pool Area & Safety Responsibilities
  • Oversees pool area (adult/children) and makes safety announcements.
  • Assists with set up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
  • Must be able to submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager.
  • Must be service oriented.
  • Picks up debris from the pool and possesses basic cleaning skills.
  • Checks sports equipment to make sure it is in order for guest to use.
  • Reports broken sports equipment to the manager so that replacement equipment can be ordered.
  • Must have the ability to work as a team member.
  • Must be accessible to and approachable to residents/guests.
  • Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
