Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a FL or compact RN license, Cath Lab and Level I Trauma experience, and strong procedural skills.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cath Lab of a hospital setting
- Day shifts with 4x10 hour schedules from 7:30 to 18:00 with one rotating day off per week
- On-call required 8-10 days per month, including 1-2 weekends
- Care for patients requiring right and left heart cath, interventional procedures, and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Uses Epic for charting and documentation; prior Epic experience required
- Responsibilities include circulating and potentially scrubbing for cardiac cath procedures, administering and monitoring sedation, and managing acute cardiac patients
- All candidates must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam with an overall score of at least 83% and 100% in lethal rhythms section; retests are available if needed prior to start
- Online orientation materials, study guides, and tips are provided prior to start
- Smoke-free facility policy in effect
- Vaccination status must be provided; declinations are not accepted
- Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered at a reduced rate
- Active FL or compact RN license in hand
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum of two years' recent consecutive Cath Lab RN experience within the last 24 months in a US hospital
- Level I Trauma Cath Lab experience required
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or an institution approved by FBON
- Experience in procedural sedation, circulator role (scrub experience preferred), Swan Ganz/Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Successful completion of facility EKG testing and dysrhythmia exam required prior to start
