Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Night Emergency Department position requiring Level I Trauma and Cerner experience in Florida.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital as an ER nurse
- Assignment is for night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 7:30, including every other weekend
- Care for Level I Trauma patients, including Trauma Bay responsibilities
- Cerner and Epic EMR systems are used in this setting
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted
- Responsibilities include independent care of Level I Trauma patients, including functioning in the Trauma Bay
- Pass/fail EKG testing is required prior to beginning work, with specific retake rules and scores outlined
- Study guides and tips to pass the EKG/arrhythmia assessments are provided during orientation
- Facility is smoke-free
- First-time travelers are not specified as eligible or ineligible
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications are required
- Degree from an accredited school OR an institution approved by FBON with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience in a US hospital
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Level I Trauma ER nursing experience required
- Must have consecutive acute care experience within the last 24 months
- Experience with Cerner and Epic EMRs required
- Must provide proof of vaccination status, with no declinations allowed
- Must be able to pass EKG/basic arrhythmia assessment, with retake allowed if criteria are not initially met
