Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Oak Park, a neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. We offer inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Over 10,000 patients receive care each year. Our services include 24/7 Clinical Assessment Center, Inpatient Hospitalization, Inpatient Program Residential Treatment Facility, and Partial Hospitalization Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services.

We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing

The Director of Nursing is responsible and accountable for all patient care delivered in the facility, including all departments, areas, and services. The DON has 24‑hour accountability.

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field, preferred
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in psychiatric and/or chemical dependency care
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as nursing supervisor
• Current Florida State Registered Nurse license
• Current Florida driver’s license
• Current CPR certification; ACLS certification preferred
