Job Description
A Manufacturing Engineer designs, implements, and optimizes production processes, equipment, and workflows to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. They troubleshoot manufacturing issues, develop assembly methods, and use tools like CAD and Lean methodologies to improve production, often working on-site in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Improvement
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and other operational excellence tools.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve daily production issues, bottlenecks, or machine failures.
- Manage and maintain production-related documentation including work instructions, process flows, control plans, technical standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure proper version control and data accuracy across manufacturing systems.
- Lead and support manufacturing-related projects from concept through implementation.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
- Identify needs for new tools, machines, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead specification development, supplier evaluation, and procurement processes.
- Oversee installation, validation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure equipment meets safety, quality, and production standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Strong Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software, PLC programming, automation, and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
