Event Services Group (ESG) is seeking a talented and detail-driven Fabrication CNC Technician to join our fabrication department. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for operating CNC machinery—including routers, laser cutters, and hot wire foam cutters—to bring complex event fabrication projects to life. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and creative skills, a deep understanding of material properties, and the ability to produce precision components that support show‑stopping experiential builds.

Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment including routers, laser cutters, and hot wire foam cutters
- Edit and generate CNC programs using G‑code for custom fabrication
- Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and 3D renderings to ensure production accuracy
- Prepare and optimize digital files and toolpaths for machining
- Operate hot wire equipment for detailed foam shaping and sculpting
- Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to align on creative intent and technical specs
- Conduct inspections using calipers and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Assemble CNC‑fabricated parts to final build specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Uphold ESG’s safety standards and contribute to continuous process improvements
- 2+ years of CNC machine operation, preferably in a custom fabrication or scenic production setting
- Familiarity with foam, wood, plastics, and composite materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and G‑code
- Skilled with inspection tools such as calipers and squares
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality craftsmanship
- Experience in collaborative team environments
- Problem‑solving aptitude for real‑time adjustments and machine troubleshooting

Full‑Time:
Monday–Friday
Some evenings and weekends may be required based on project needs.
Role is based on‑site with close collaboration across fabrication and design teams.
