The Senior Construction Manager will lead the execution of a confidential client's capital improvement program in Davie, Florida. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments, excels at managing large teams, and is passionate about delivering high-impact projects that serve the public good.

As the on-site lead, you will oversee the construction of critical community assets such as education facilities, medical centers, and other public-use buildings, managing a workforce of 30–50 staff, ensuring all work aligns with project goals, safety standards, and client expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Serve as the primary lead for all construction activities across multiple vertical infrastructure projects
  • Manage and coordinate Construction Managers, Inspectors, and contractors, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and safety protocols
  • Oversee daily site operations, including logistics, inspections, quality control, and safety compliance
  • Collaborate closely with the client, Jacobs’ project team, and subconsultants to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution
  • Lead construction progress meetings, prepare reports, and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and enforce contract compliance, manage change orders, and support claims resolution
  • Ensure timely completion of construction milestones and facilitate smooth handover to operations or post-construction teams
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on-site
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with a strong focus on vertical infrastructure (e.g., schools, hospitals, municipal buildings)
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-contractor construction sites
  • Strong knowledge of CMAR, Design-Build, and other alternative delivery methods
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Deep understanding of construction contracts, permitting, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with tribal, municipal, or federally funded projects
  • Familiarity with community infrastructure development, including public health and education facilities
  • Working knowledge of federal compliance requirements and reporting standards

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
