In support of the Clinical Services Group Laboratory Service Line, the Vice President of Lab Operations is responsible for all laboratory services and operations in the assigned region. Responsibilities include providing leadership, directing operational growth, managing quality and clinical performance, achieving financial goals, overseeing personnel, developing new programs and fostering a culture of accountability.

• Provide leadership in laboratory clinical services, operations, compliance and expense management to support the Division’s and individual facilities’ strategic plans.
• Develop and strengthen collaborative relationships with the division and facility teams to advance laboratory practice and patient care.
• Assimilate information from multiple sources, analyze data, make strategic recommendations and execute improvement plans for quality and cost.
• Serve on the Laboratory Service Line Core Team to support Service Line initiatives with medical leadership.
• Provide direct leadership and accountability for operational effectiveness of laboratory services.
• Engage senior executives by presenting industry trends, best‑in‑class strategies and securing buy‑in for program objectives.
• Lead the development of division and facility laboratory leaders through coaching and mentoring to increase capabilities and employee engagement.
• Align laboratory team goals with company, group, division and facility objectives.
• Collaborate within and across functional teams.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HCA.
• Generate internal customer confidence, increase customer satisfaction and manage expectations through stakeholder alignment.
• Address customer challenges and solicit feedback for service improvement.
• Establish and meet annual consolidated service and facility budgets.
• Define and meet financial and clinical goals for divisions and facilities.
