Construction Manager / District Four / Director of Operations / District Construction / Ft. Lauderdale Construction

This position will plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from start to finish to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. They oversee daily operations on construction sites, manage schedules and costs, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, review blueprints and contracts, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Construction managers communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and workers to address challenges, resolve issues, and track progress while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

District Four - Broward Operations

Performs and serves as a Construction Manager for the Broward Construction Office in support of highway and bridge construction program. Supervises employees by communicating regularly, plans, organizes, coordinates and schedules assigned work for employees. Motivates, trains and evaluates employees on the performance of their duties. Supervises subordinates administering consultant and construction contracts, final estimates preparation, and materials coordination. Ensures all work is completed in compliance with the established procedures for each discipline.

Advises staff with regard to all aspects of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) construction contract administration matters. Participates in applicant selection and hiring process. Provides employee orientation, training, counseling and disciplinary actions, and prepares employee performance evaluations.
