Position: Personal Injury Litigation Attorney (341)

Overview

Well respected and established personal injury law firm based in South Florida is growing and expanding and looking to add a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to their team. This firm is committed to preserving the rights of their clients and providing them with the highest quality legal services. This position is onsite at the firm's Ft. Lauderdale, FL office.

Qualifications
  • Must be admitted in good standing to the Florida Bar
  • Must have a minimum of 4-10 years of litigation experience in personal injury
  • Must have experience in handling medical malpractice, personal injury matters in the litigation side
  • Must be able to independently handle all litigation matters from case transfer through resolution or trial
  • Must be able to conduct initial client contact upon transfer of cases into litigation
  • Must be able to draft, file, and amend complaints, including Notices of Intent (NOIs) in medical malpractice cases
  • Must be able to draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Must be able to draft and respond to motions, including dispositive motions and motions for summary judgment
  • Must be able to conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
  • Must be able to prepare clients for and attend depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and arbitrations
  • Must be able to attend hearings and court proceedings
  • Must be able to negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable case resolutions
  • Must be able to draft proposals for settlement and review settlement statements
  • Must be able to communicate with opposing counsel to negotiate and agree upon orders
  • Must be able to prepare medical chronologies when law clerk support is unavailable
  • Must be able to conduct regular case reviews with paralegals and support staff
  • Must be able to prepare cases for trial, including jury instructions, verdict forms, and trial exhibits
  • Must be able to prepare for and attend jury trials
