We are working with an international Company that is looking for an attorney with junior to mid-level experience.
The position will support the Company’s international businesses, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean. The attorney will coordinate with the General Counsel for Latin America to provide legal support on a variety of legal and strategic issues in connection with transactional matters (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, commercial contracts (review, drafting and administration), industry regulation and compliance, and corporate maintenance (shareholder/board resolutions) issues, among others.
Applicants must be comfortable dealing with emerging markets.
Extensive Experience with civil law jurisdictions is a strong plus
.
The Company is fast-paced, and the position requires a great deal of flexibility.
Requirements- Company prefers Civil Law degree from Latin American Country - foreign equivalent law degree
. In addition, candidates may have a JD from an ABA accredited law school or LLM and be eligible for admission to the Florida bar (authorized in-house counsel registration is sufficient). - Applicants must have at least 2 years of corporate experience either working in a well-recognized law firm, in-house legal department of a company with international operations, or a combination of both.
- This position demands strong analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and drafting skills.
- Applicants must be eager to learn and be self-motivated.
- Must be eligible to work in the US as well
