Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join a dynamic business law practice in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will support litigation and dispute resolution matters across a variety of practice areas, working closely with experienced attorneys on complex legal issues for corporate and individual clients. This role offers exposure to a broad array of business law matters, including complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, corporate investigations, and emerging practice areas such as blockchain transactions.
The firm’s team comprises seasoned litigators, former prosecutors, and multilingual lawyers representing local, national, and international clients.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court and client documents for litigation matters.
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Represent clients in commercial disputes and related proceedings in state and federal courts, and support arbitration matters where applicable.
- Manage portions of the case docket with guidance from senior attorneys, including calendaring, fact investigation, and client communication.
- Prepare legal memoranda, case strategies, and summaries of legal issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues on case development, including trial preparation and appellate work.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Participate in substantive legal work with increasing responsibility.
- Mentorship from experienced practitioners with courtroom and arbitration experience.
- Collaborative, diverse, and growing legal team focused on efficient and effective client representation.
