Overview

The Technical Practice Lead, Workday Integrations & Reporting is the senior technical authority responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the organization’s Workday integration and reporting ecosystem. This role leads a team of 2–3 Workday technical professionals and delivers scalable, secure integrations, APIs, reports, dashboards, and data solutions supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, and business operations.

This position combines deep hands‑on Workday expertise with people leadership, owning the technical roadmap, governance standards, and delivery of solutions leveraging Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, Reporting, Prism, and Extend. The role partners closely with HRIS, IT, Finance, and external vendors to improve data quality, automation, and decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday technical analysts and specialists
  • Define and enforce integration, reporting, and data governance standards
  • Own the Workday technical roadmap, prioritizing performance, scalability, and new capabilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of integrations, APIs, reports, dashboards, and data pipelines
  • Oversee integration lifecycle management, monitoring, error handling, and optimization
  • Drive enterprise reporting strategy using Workday Reporting, Prism Analytics, and dashboards
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Manage cross-functional integration and reporting projects
  • Ensure data security, validation, compliance, and audit controls
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Manage vendor relationships and third‑party system integrations
  • Support Workday bi‑annual releases and continuous technical improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of Workday technical experience, including 5+ years hands‑on integrations and reporting
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Advanced expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, and Reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and Payroll data models
  • Experience with Prism Analytics, SQL, ETL patterns, and cross‑system data flows
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Experience with middleware platforms and Workday Extend is a plus
