Essential Duties- IT point of contact and escalation point for IT needs associated with the Fort Lauderdale office (approximately 50 end users).
- Asset management of office equipment: procurement, configuration, provisioning, tracking, and disposal.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, hardware, and associated documentation.
- Handle business‑critical IT tasks and system administration.
- Escalation point for IT service desk issue resolution; provide first‑contact support based on volume.
- Monitor progress of open service desk tickets, prioritizing tickets from the Fort Lauderdale office to ensure SLA compliance.
- Work directly with vendor support to resolve issues when required.
- Communicate announcements for maintenance windows, unplanned outages, and application deployments.
- Contribute to technician knowledge base as needed.
- Build rapport with business staff and service desk customers; recommend prioritization of requests based on business impact.
- Assist in planning and executing office‑specific and firm‑wide maintenance activities (Windows Server updates, application, and infrastructure upgrades).
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Own and lead projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within larger business initiatives.
- Provide suggestions for continuous improvement and lead implementation of approved recommendations.
- Escalate incidents with accurate documentation to suitable senior manager/director when required.
- Oversee development and dissemination of help sheets, user guides, and FAQ lists for end users.
- Work overtime (weekday and/or weekend) and participate in on‑call support rotations during peak seasons.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required; a degree in an IT related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, experience working in an onshore/offshore model preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong written, oral, and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport building and active listening.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with service management—managing end‑user expectations and satisfaction.
- Ability to work as part of a global team and independently with remote supervision.
- Preferred experience:
- IT role with an accounting or advisory firm.
- Industry certifications.
- Workstation imaging and distribution, configuring/moving desktop equipment.
- Expertise in Active Directory management and security.
- Expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Manager tools (Intune, Config Mgr, Autopilot) and conditional access rules.
- Experience with security monitoring tools such as Sentinel One, Carbon Black EDR, Mimecast, Phish
ER, KnowBe4, Thycotic/Delinea, or Varonis PAM. - Hands‑on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or equivalent environment administration.
- Application support experience with Document Management Systems (e.g., iChannel, Wolters Kluwer CCH Axcess Document) and tax/audit software (e.g., CCH Pro System fx).
- MS Exchange, O365, Teams, SharePoint administration.
- User and device monitoring/management and diagnostic utilities (e.g., Intune MDM, Microsoft Authenticator MFA, Bit Locker).
- Power Shell and/or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
- Network and server management tools (e.g., Pulseway, Logic Monitor).
