PurposeWe are looking for a Field Operations Engineer to be the trusted face of our company and help our customers get the most out of our safety platform. This role will see you representing our brand at schools, hospitals, and local government offices, ensuring professionalism, safety, and customer trust.

Position Responsibilities- Engage operations, IT, and facilities leaders at customer sites to resolve platform issues.
- Serve as a customer‑facing representative of CentEGIX, ensuring confidence and trust in our solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and operational success.
- Maintain professional conduct and strictly adhere to all school district policies and safety standards while on K‑12 property.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to communicate their value effectively.
- Recover company assets from installers and return them in a timely manner.
- Provide partner training and management as needed to keep the installer base up to date on product development.
- Coordinate with Customer Success and Command Center teams to provide a seamless support experience between remote and onsite activities.
- Capture and provide feedback about the Crisis Alert and Contact Alert platforms공하 to the product teams.
- Utilize CentEGIX internal systems to manage customer‑related activities and provide timely updates to internal teams.
- Leverage the Installer Application to make changes to the Crisis Alert and Contact Alert platforms.
- Assist with change‑add or routine maintenance questions and orders.
- Support training opportunities with customers to drive usage and adoption of CentEGIX platforms and services, building confidence in platform use.
- Engage administrators and end users to generate feedback on the platform for marketing leverage.
- Travel required up to 75% of the time. Travel is primarily regional but national travel may be required. During slow periods travel may not be required; during peak times travel can be up to 75‑85% for 4‑6 weeks at a time. Flexibility and workable work/life balance is essential.
- Second shift work required when supporting installers after hours. Approximately 25% day shift, 75% evening shift. Flexibility required when students are not present (evenings, weekends, school breaks).
- 2+ years proven experience interfacing and interacting with customers, primarily onsite, with emphasis on building trust and reliable support.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and professionalism in a sensitive environment, especially around children.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting may be required before accessing customer sites.
- Basic knowledge of technology and hand tools required. Understanding of IP, basic networking, wireless systems and protocols is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Physical requirements:
ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs; climb ladders; stand, kneel, bend, sit or lie down while installing equipment; able to stand for long periods.
