Your Purpose
MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its Information Technology team in the USA. Reporting to the Helpdesk Incident Manager, the Desktop Support Technician will provide technical assistance to MSC USA’s employee and leadership teams. You will help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems. The role will suit someone who is computer savvy and customer service focused who enjoys supporting end users.
To succeed in this role, you should have a problem‑solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office. It is primarily an in‑office position based out of our new Miami US Headquarters, but you will be required to complete some training in our Fort Lauderdale office as well as cover this office as needed.
Your Impact- Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
- Walk employees through installing applications and computer peripherals
- Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
- Guide users with simple, step‑by‑step instructions
- Conduct remote troubleshooting for at‑home employees
- Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
- Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
- Record technical issues and solutions in logs
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Equipment Inventory Maintenance
- Flexibility to travel to Miami office as needed
- Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician / Analyst or similar role
- Hands‑on experience with Windows/Mac OS environments
- Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti‑virus programs
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- Excellent problem‑solving and multitasking skills
- Customer‑oriented attitude
- BS in Computer Science or relevant field
- Video conferencing troubleshooting
- MFA, system lockouts troubleshooting
