Position: IT Help Desk Support Engineer (MSP)

Summary

Our client is a leading IT Solutions Company located in the Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeking a Level III IT Engineer. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with technology and excellent personal communication skills. You should enjoy building solutions that leverage technology to meet client business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with sales to provide pre- and post-sales support, including discovery meetings, site visits, proposals, presentations, technical assessments, implementation, and ongoing technical account management.
  • Deploying and managing Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • Designing Local Area Networks
  • Implementing and monitoring network security
  • Optimizing and maintaining network software and hardware
  • Building and deploying file servers and cloud computing solutions
  • Configuring and deploying VOIP solutions
  • Performing network infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Managing Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Handling telephone solutions
  • Monitoring alert systems and taking appropriate actions as per guidelines
  • Using event log messages to diagnose and repair issues
  • Handling escalated service requests requiring advanced response
  • On-boarding new users

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory
  • Experience working in an MSP environment is MUST
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role such as sales engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with clients to understand their business and technology issues
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience writing proposals and implementing technical solutions to meet business needs
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player
  • Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems
  • Experience with RMM tools like Kaseya or Connectwise is a plus
  • Experience with PSA tools like Autotask or Connectwise is a plus
  • Ability to problem solve at a high level, provide exceptional customer service, and multi-task effectively
  • Sales training experience is a plus

Ideal Qualifications (not required)

  • CompTIA Net+ and/or Security+
  • MCSA, MCSE, MCITP certifications
  • CCNA or CCIE certifications are a plus
