The HRBP will play a critical role in strengthening employee engagement, building high-performance teams, and ensuring consistent execution of HR programs across retail locations and corporate functions. - Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, corporate leaders, and executive stakeholders on HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives to support growth, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Provide guidance during organizational change, restructures, and expansion efforts.
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for retail field employees and corporate teams within the assigned region.
- Provide coaching and counsel on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Serve as first point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring timely, fair, and consistent resolution.
- Administer and manage leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, PFL, and applicable state programs) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support regional recruiting efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition, including interview training, workforce planning, job fairs, and hiring events.
- Advise leaders on recruiting strategies for both hourly retail roles and professional corporate positions.
- Partner with managers on onboarding, retention, succession planning, and internal mobility.
- Support and deliver HR, leadership, and compliance training for managers and employees.
- Partner with leaders on performance management processes, goal setting, coaching, and development planning.
- Promote leadership capability and employee growth in support of long-term organizational success.
- Partner with corporate HR to administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on compensation practices, benefits offerings, and enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.), including multi-state requirements.
- Partner with leadership to promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company risk management programs.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, partnering with vendors and leaders to support return-to-work efforts and cost control.
- Analyze HR data and trends related to turnover, engagement, performance, and compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR Business Partner role.
- Experience supporting multi-site retail or field-based employees as well as corporate/professional teams.
- Deep knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws with proven experience navigating complex employee relations issues.
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including facilitation and training delivery.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned geographic region.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to urgent regional matters as needed.
