Summary

The Talent Acquisition Lead oversees the entire recruitment cycle, including sourcing, developing recruitment strategies, screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, and managing candidate flow through to final disposition in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all Balfour Beatty U.S positions.

Sourcing and Recruiting

  • Collaborate with business partners and the HR team to create and post all requisitions, including prequalification questions for job postings.
  • Proactively source candidates through resume mining, industry-specific organizations, college events, network searches, partner recruiting sites, and initial phone screens.
  • Manage both internal and external applicant flow in the ATS.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand the needs of the organization.
  • Conduct kick-off calls with hiring managers before posting new job openings and lead bi-weekly recruiting update calls with hiring managers and HR leaders.
  • Proactively assess which roles to partner with external recruiting firms.
  • Identify appropriate posting sites/venues for open positions.

Candidate Experience:

  • Oversee the candidate experience, including scheduling phone and in-person interviews, providing timely follow-up at each stage, assisting with travel arrangements when necessary, and managing the offer process between the candidate, hiring manager, and HR leaders.
  • Conclude the candidate experience appropriately by notifying and dispositioning applicants who were not offered the role.

Process Integrity:

  • Generate and distribute weekly reports for the HR Leadership.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate ATS, ensuring candidates are dispositioned at each stage based on qualifications, pre-screening responses, interviews, and offers.
  • Uphold Balfour Beatty’s AAP/EEO and OFCCP compliance through ethical practices and disciplined execution of processes.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of current laws and legislation, enforcing recruiting procedures with hiring managers, partner agencies, and applicants to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all candidates.
  • Associate's degree in a Human Resources or related field, and/or minimum 5 years of talent acquisition experience in a multi-location organization, with expertise in full cycle recruiting.
  • Experience working in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of OFCCP, EEOC, and AAP guidelines.
  • Proven experience in recruiting across multi-state, multi-office organizations.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Two or more years of recruitment experience within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
