Overview
Pelican Grand Beach Resort, located directly on the Atlantic Ocean in Ft. Lauderdale, offers 156 rooms, four diamond rating, three outlets, a lazy river and beachfront access. We are looking for a Front Desk – Guest Service Agent to join our diverse, personality‑driven team and provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities- Perform all check‑in and check‑out tasks.
- Manage online and phone reservations.
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
- Register guests and collect necessary information such as contact details and exact dates of stay.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms.
- Provide information about hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully furnished.
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, such as wedding guests.
- Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate.
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
- Post all charges without delay and update the folio.

- 1-3 years experience as a Front Desk Agent at a hotel or similar role is a MUST.
- Working knowledge of types of room set‑ups, capacities, relation to event type.
- Excellent interpersonal and sales‑related skills.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
- English reading, writing, speaking and understanding.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computational ability.
- Pass a background check.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to stand up 6-10 hours a day.

Salary$16 per hour
