Overview

Broward / Palm Beach – Regional Director of Operations
. This position is with an extremely fast-growing, specialty physician group and is responsible for the overall operational success of multiple healthcare centers across the Broward County region. The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) provides strategic leadership and day-to-day operational direction to care centers, translating enterprise strategy into consistent regional execution. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role partners closely with physicians and centralized support teams to drive operational efficiency, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and a strong patient experience.

The position requires a high degree of independence, judgment, initiative, and follow-through across a wide range of complex operational issues.

Care Center Operations & Performance
  • Leads multi-site operations across 5–15+ care centers, ensuring consistent implementation of workflows, SOPs, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Assesses, develops, and coaches Practice Managers and supervisors to drive accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
  • Identifies best practices from high-performing locations and scales them across the region to improve efficiency and patient experience.
  • Monitors key performance indicators including visit volumes, utilization, conversion rates, revenue per visit, patient satisfaction, and controllable expenses.
  • Partners with Finance and Decision Support to develop annual budgets, analyze productivity and profitability trends, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Conducts regular site audits focused on compliance, facility standards, patient safety, and operational readiness.
  • Works with Marketing to support local market growth initiatives and ensure patient satisfaction data is collected, reviewed, and actioned.
  • Supports onboarding and integration of new practices and services in partnership with implementation and business development teams.
Physician & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serves as a primary operational liaison to physicians, fostering strong relationships and alignment around performance goals.
  • Leads regular physician-facing discussions focused on operational metrics, service line growth, and workflow optimization.
  • Partners with centralized MSO teams including Revenue Cycle, HR, IT, Compliance, Credentialing, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of enterprise initiatives.
  • Supports provider recruitment and onboarding from an operational perspective to ensure smooth integration into the platform.
Compliance, Risk & Quality
  • Ensures care centers remain compliant with all federal, state, payer, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and HIPAA.
  • Leads remediation efforts following audits and maintains readiness for internal and external inspections.
  • Proactively identifies staffing, infrastructure, and capital needs; reviews and recommends capital expenditures as appropriate.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Develops current and future leaders by facilitating training, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promotes clear, timely communication and establishes consistent management rhythms across the region.
  • Owns the creation, execution, and knowledge transfer of operational action plans to drive sustained improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 5–7+ years of progressive, multi-site healthcare operations leadership experience (specialty or ambulatory care strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to drive operational performance improvement across multiple locations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with physicians and cross-functional teams in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
