Overview

Broward Health Medical Center

Performs pre-registration and insurance verification functions for inpatients/outpatients to ensure the integrity of demographic and financial information gathered to secure payment from payors, and to communicate patient responsibilities or follow-up to regional financial counselors. Ensures appropriate notification and communication about status and where to send clinical information to obtain authorization from the various payors.

• Perform pre-registration and insurance verification for inpatients and outpatients to ensure accurate demographic and financial information for payer payments.
• Communicate patient responsibilities and follow-up needs to regional financial counselors.
• Provide timely notification and guidance on the status and submission of clinical information required to obtain authorization from payors.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: One Year
