Position Summary

The PNC Representative is the “voice” of Holy Cross Health Medical Group and functions as a welcoming agent ensuring positive patient interaction as well as an intermediary determining the pathway each caller enters. The Representative handles patient access processes including, but not limited to, scheduling, registration, and insurance verification. The Representative interacts with patients and physician office staff to schedule all future services across a wide scope of clinical departments, coordinating multiple services in proper sequence, informing patient and doctor offices of test preparations, insurance requirements, authorizations, and financial responsibilities.

The Representative collaborates with multiple departments to best utilize resources while accommodating physician preferences and patient needs. The Representative resolves scheduling matters such as STAT appointments, approvals, block times, and appropriate study selection.

What You Will Do

Responsible for consistent decision‑making while performing patient access processes, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, coordination of benefits, and ensuring compliance with regulations and third‑party requirements. Resolve scheduling matters, verify patient insurance and payment sources, and collaborate across departments to meet physician preferences and patient needs.

What You Will Need
  • Medical scheduling experience and extensive customer service background required; call center technology experience highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment under a high‑paced, stressful environment.
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent required; 1‑2 years post‑high‑school education or training preferred.
  • Commitment to Trinity Health policies and procedures and alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, inspiring and motivating others.
