Overview
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Airport Operations Agent, Senior/Ground Transportation Enforcement Officer in the Operations Division. The position will remain open until a sufficient number of applications are received. Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required.

- Associate's degree in airport management, aeronautical science, or closely related field. One year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of required education.
- Three years of experience in Airport Operations, Ground Transportation, Code Enforcement, or closely related experience.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and authority to drive a county vehicle.
- Must obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) memorandum and Customs and Border Protection seal.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Aviation, or closely related field.
- AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Designation.
- AAAE Airport Certified Member (CM) Designation.
- Certified Code Enforcement Professional (CEP).
- FACE Fundamentals Certification.
- Experience in Airport Vehicle Code Enforcement Operations.
- Coordinate daily Vehicle Code Enforcement services, including compliance, enforcement, research, and preparation of reports.
- Enforce codes and ordinances and conduct field and vehicle inspections, including undercover operations with law enforcement.
- Prepare cases for law enforcement, County Attorney, or Licensing Board; provide evidence and expert testimony; issue county notices of violations and citations.
- Maintain accurate records, update case files, and assist in license application processing and public education on laws and ordinances.
- Assist with planning, developing, authorizing, implementing, and evaluating programs and projects with airport-wide impact.
- Advise supervisor on vehicle code enforcement activities and conduct special research and analysis of operational data.
- Provide assistance and training to division staff and contracted service providers.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available in various locations such as office, airport terminals, curbside, and the airfield.
Work involves light physical labor, walking or standing most of the time, and handling up to 20 pounds. Routine exposure to traffic and moving machinery is expected.
