Responsible for the development of SBA 7a Loans and other SBA/Conventional Loan generation, commercial deposits & treasury management services, and increasing the overall profitability of the Bank. Represents Locality Bank in its market area through networks and active participation in business and community organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Interviews applicants to determine loan requirements and gathers pertinent information for SBA loan applications.
- Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan, establishes credit limit through written and/or oral assessment.
- Determines potential for SBA guarantee according to SBA SOP 50-10-6.
- Works in tandem with the bank’s loan servicing provider (LSP) to process, underwrite and close each SBA 7a loan.
- Partners with the bank’s CDC partners to process, underwrite and close a SBA 504 loan.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the bank’s SBA offerings (Including but not limited to SBA 7a Loan, 7a Small Loan, International Trade Loan, and CAPLine.)
- Resolves uncertainties relating to customer application information through inquiries with applicant or creditors.
- Structures loans within Locality Bank loan policy and SBA SOP 50-10-6. Champions loan opportunities to the credit department and/or Loan Committee for proper approval.
- Prepares financing proposal consistent with approval for presentation to applicant.
- Reviews loan documentation prior to closing for completeness and acceptance by the applicant and ensures timely loan closing and funding.
- Maintains a positive and active working relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, and centers of influence to cultivate and expand customer base to assure long term relationships.
- Participate in networking events, community and professional organizations and events.
- Assist in managing the loan portfolio regarding renewals, modifications, updated credit analysis, collections, and/or portfolio monitoring.
- Uses experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Studies and evaluates new activities, policies, programs, services, markets related to the functions of business development.
- Proposes and recommends new products through identifiable customer needs.
- Works closely with Advisory Boards in providing products and services to the community
- Attends various management and staff meetings.
- Assures compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains an active involvement in community organizations in the market area where participation or membership will enhance profitable growth of the bank.
- Complies with regulatory requirements and bank policies & procedures for BSA AML CFT compliance.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related area preferred
- Minimum five years’ experience in Small Business Lending with experience in marketing, sales, finance, or related field.
- Ability to generate new loan and deposit growth.
- Knowledge of the banking industry including business development, sales, and marketing
- Knowledge of the Bank’s products and services, inclusive of SBA
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing the banking industry
- Skill in communicating to employees and customers
- Skill in the operation of listed tools and equipment
- Ability to exercise good judgement in establishing and maintaining working relationships.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and solve problems and be able to deliver a high level of accuracy, focus and timeliness with limited supervision.

- Ability to work in an organized manner
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit, and financial documents, as well as other legal documents as needed.
