We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our prestigious construction company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the payroll functions of our organization, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for our employees across multiple states.

- Accurately processing payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring all payments are made on time and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Managing timesheets, ensuring all hours worked by employees are correctly recorded and compensated.
- Administering 401K plans and other benefits, ensuring all deductions and contributions are correctly calculated and processed.
- Processing monthly allowances, bonuses, and other special payments, ensuring all such payments are correctly calculated and processed.
- Making Accounts Payable (AP) entries, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in our accounting system.
- Using Procore, Sage 300, ADP, and other payroll and accounting software to manage payroll functions, ensuring all software is used correctly and efficiently.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in state and federal payroll regulations, ensuring our payroll processes remain in compliance with all such regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering any payroll-related questions from employees and resolving any payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience with 401K administration, timesheet management, processing of monthly allowances and bonuses, and making AP entries.
- Experience with multi-state payroll, including knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in Procore, Sage 300, ADP, and other payroll and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all payroll transactions are correctly calculated and recorded.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring all payroll-related inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring any payroll-related issues are quickly resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Strong communication skills, ensuring all payroll-related information is clearly and effectively communicated to employees and other stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all payroll functions are managed efficiently and effectively.
