Job Description & How to Apply Below
Chief Financial Officer (Automotive Dealership Group – Franchise + Highline)

TxTCharlie Automotive Group is a high-end, performance-driven dealership group specializing in exotic and luxury vehicles (Porsche, Bentley, Ferrari, Bmw and more). We are also a franchise dealer for Morgan Motor Cars out of the UK. We operate across multiple divisions including retail, wholesale, service, body, and real estate, and we do over $160M+ in annual sales with strong profitability.

We are now entering a major growth phase, including the acquisition of a Kia franchise dealership, and we’re building the financial infrastructure to support a multi-rooftop, franchise-level organization.

Role Summary

We’re hiring a hands-on, franchise-capable CFO who understands dealership operations at a deep level — floorplan, OEM statements, working capital, internal controls, and lender/OEM reporting.

This role is not a “monthly financials” job. We need a CFO who runs the business through:

• daily cash control

• and real-time reporting that drives decisions

You’ll partner directly with ownership and build the financial operating system that supports both highline performance and franchise scale.

Why This Role Is Attractive

• Rare opportunity to be the CFO for a high-performing group entering franchise expansion

• Direct partnership with a hands-on owner

• Ability to architect the finance function from the ground up

• Involvement in acquisition integration, OEM reporting, and future rooftop growth

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, you will:

• Implement daily visibility into real cash and financial exposure

• Tighten controls around payables, flooring, funding, and approvals

• Establish predictable reporting and close cadence

• Support the financial side of the Kia franchise acquisition and integration

• Build a finance structure that reduces dependency on ownership

Key Responsibilities

Cash, Liquidity, and Working Capital

• Own daily cash management and build a real cash reporting system

• Build and maintain 13-week cash forecasts and rolling projections

• Improve working capital: inventory aging, funding timelines, AP discipline, AR control

• Identify and eliminate cash leak points across departments

Franchise + OEM Financial Support (Kia Acquisition and Beyond)

• Support acquisition transition and ongoing OEM financial requirements

• Ensure accurate and compliant reporting for OEM programs, metrics, and audits

• Build KPI reporting across franchise rooftops and departments

• Support finance operations across multiple entities and stores as the group expands

Floorplan + Banking + Lenders

• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and floorplan providers

• Optimize floorplan utilization, curtailments, interest expense, and capital structure

• Prepare lender packages, OEM packages, and executive-level financial reporting

Controls, Accountability, and Risk Management

• Strengthen internal controls, approvals, segregation of duties, and compliance

• Implement systems to prevent errors, overspending, and financial blind spots

• Drive disciplined expense management across all departments

Reporting + Operating Rhythm

• Build dashboards and KPI scorecards for ownership (simple, fast, accurate)

• Create department-level P&Ls and profitability by division

• Improve reporting accuracy and reduce close time

• Provide decision support for growth initiatives, capital allocation, and real estate projects

Leadership + Team Development

• Lead and develop the finance team (Controller/Comptroller + staff)

• Hire or upgrade roles as needed to build a franchise-ready finance department

• Drive accountability, urgency, and high standards within the accounting function

Required Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of senior finance leadership experience in automotive

• Deep experience with:
- OEM financial statements / reporting
- Cash management and working capital discipline
- Multi-entity accounting
- Banking and lender relationships
- Internal controls and financial process improvement
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

- Experience with Dealer track

• High integrity, high energy, and comfortable in a fast-paced, owner-driven environment

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experienced in franchise compliance and OEM reporting

• Comfortable being hands-on while building systems and people

• Strong lender communication and confident in floorplan conversations

• Builds structure without slowing sales and operations

Compensation

• $250K + Depending on Experience

• KPI Bonus: meaningful upside tied to execution and measurable outcomes

• Bonus structure will be discussed based on experience and performance expectations
