Assistant Controller

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations, including multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations, while managing a small team. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to produce accurate financial reports in a fast-paced, international environment.

Experience with multi-currency consolidations and eliminations is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

- Oversee multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations for global operations.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages and management reports for stakeholders.

- Supervise and support two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

- Ensure compliance with financial standards and conduct audits, including DCAA requirements.

- Utilize Workday and Quick Books Platinum systems to streamline financial processes.

- Collaborate with international teams to navigate language barriers and ensure effective communication.

- Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate and current financial information.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and reporting.

- Partner with leadership to support strategic financial planning initiatives.

Requirements

- Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger oversight.

- Strong knowledge of multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations required.

- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and audit procedures, including DCAA.

- Proficiency in Workday and Quick Books Platinum systems.

- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.

- Ability to work effectively with international teams and navigate cultural differences.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
