About the Firm

A Fort Lauderdale–based investment firm operates a lean, fundamentals-driven investment platform focused on debt and equity markets. The firm employs a highly collaborative, research- intensive approach and maintains a small investment team that works closely across trading, research, and portfolio management functions. The firm emphasizes disciplined execution, deep engagement with market participants, and hands-on exposure for junior professionals. The culture values intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, accountability, and a strong work ethic within a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

Role Overview

The firm is seeking to add an Investment Analyst to its investment team. This role will report to senior investment professionals and work closely with the broader investment team in evaluating new opportunities and monitoring existing investments.

This is a generalist role offering exposure across a wide range of asset classes, industries, and capital structures. Historically, the firm has invested across:

  • Performing and distressed corporate credit
  • Performing and distressed structured credit
  • Special situation and activist equities
  • Real and hard assets

While the strategy is broad-based, recent investment activity has included a significant focus on bank equity activism, providing candidates the opportunity to work on activist research, analysis, and campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct deep, bottoms-up fundamental research across public and private investments
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities across credit and equity strategies
  • Monitor and analyze existing portfolio investments
  • Support activist investment initiatives, including industry analysis and thesis development
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior investment professionals
  • Collaborate within a lean, high-accountability investment team

Candidates should demonstrate strong financial acumen, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.
