Role Overview

The Transactions & Cash Manager is responsible for leading the company’s end-to-end cash management and transactional finance operations, with a strong focus on liquidity, forecasting, and working capital optimization. This role oversees Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) and serves as a trusted, hands‑on finance leader who drives execution, anticipates issues, and makes sound decisions without the need for constant oversight.

This role partners closely with finance leadership while operating with a high degree of autonomy. The Transactions & Cash Manager is expected to translate financial strategy into action, proactively improve processes and controls, and confidently move initiatives forward while keeping leadership appropriately informed. Success in this role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to lead through execution rather than supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead all cash operations, including cash forecasting, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), working capital management, and overall cash strategy
  • Operate as the day-to-day authority for AR, AP, and cash-related decisions, exercising sound judgement and escalating issues only when appropriate
  • Build, refine, and scale AR, AP, and cash management processes, tools, and internal controls to support accuracy, efficiency, and growth
  • Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities related to cash flow, liquidity, and transactional execution
  • Drive measurable improvements in cash flow efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and working capital performance
  • Lead, coach, and hold AR and AP teams accountable to clear performance expectations and outcomes
  • Partner with finance leadership to provide clear, actionable insights on cash trends, risks, and liquidity planning
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance to resolve issues, unblock execution, and support business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate policies
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations within a public company or mid-to-large private equity–backed organization
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing AR, AP, and cash teams of at least 5 employees
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a complex, high-transaction environment with established systems, tools, and processes
  • Strong understanding of cash management best practices, working capital optimization, and forecasting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field OR a minimum of 10 years of progressive, relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Hands‑on experience with Paylocity, Concur, Tipalti, Monex, Syteline, or similar ERP and financial systems
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and make confident, well‑reasoned decisions with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS in Finance, or MS in Accounting
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CTP, or equivalent credentials relevant to cash and transactional finance
  • Industry experience within manufacturing, industrial services, defense, marine, or power generation environments
  • Post‑merger integration experience or equivalent experience operating through periods of rapid growth, systems integration, or organizational transformation
  • Experience in multi‑entity, multi‑location, or operationally complex…
