Responsibilities- Oversee client portfolios of various sizes and scopes within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate, and/or hedge funds).
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
- Assess tax impact on clients from rule and law changes, develop tax arguments, and make recommendations.
- Facilitate engagement risk and financial performance, including billing, collections, and the project budget.
- Deliver high‑quality tax services to clients.
- Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM is required; if not possessed at hire, must obtain one within one year.
- Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information.
