We are looking to hire a Specialist, Entertainment Casting. This position is responsible for auditioning and recruiting the Activity Team (Activity Manager, Entertainment Operations Administrator, and Activity Staff) and the Youth Department (Youth Manager, Teen Activity Coordinator, and Youth Staff), while also scheduling and maintaining rotational oversight for current teammates in these positions. They will also provide administrative support to the Manager, Casting and Booking, as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Creates, plans, and executes recruitment opportunities and auditions for the Activity Team and Youth Department as required.
  • Partners with Scheduling Team on rotational oversight for Activity Team and Youth Department.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations & Programming and the Manager, Youth and Family Programming to anticipate and fulfill requested or trade-mandated needs.
  • Supports the Manager, Casting and Booking in the recruitment of Head of Entertainment and Cruise Directors.
  • Manages and monitors the recruitment aspect of Princess Cruises’ Entertainment Website and additional recruiting platforms.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Fleet Personnel, and Global Talent Partners on onboarding of new teammates.
  • Reviews appraisals for onboard teammates to guide individual improvement and growth.
  • Attends recruitment conventions and events to bolster the applicant pool for key positions.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Scope:
    The role has the authority to evaluate all candidates’ qualifications during the hiring process and make hiring decisions for new Activity Team and Youth Department roles. They will determine proper assignment of current teammates to vessels based on qualifications, appraisals, and business needs, partnering with management and the scheduling team to assess teammates and provide best resolutions.
  • Problem-solving:
    Handle complex casting decisions, balancing talent quality with logistical and budgetary constraints.
  • Impact:
    The role has a significant impact on the overall guest experience by ensuring high-quality entertainment.
  • Leadership:
    Lead the casting process, manage relationships with performers, and coordinate with various departments for all roles.
  • Knowledge:
    Understanding of workplace policies and procedures; familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

    Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Abilities:
