Rail Administration Specialist IV – District Four / Transportation Development / Modal Development / Plans & Programs

This position manages large-scale transportation planning and development projects of multimodal, multijurisdictional, and high-profile projects, including transit, rail, intermodal and other transportation modes.

Annual Salary Range

$70,477.78 - $91,206.54

A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $1,976.00 will be added to the annual salary.

Your Specific Responsibilities

Manages large-scale transportation planning and development projects of a multimodal, multi- jurisdictional, and high-profile projects including transit, rail, intermodal, multimodal and other transportation modes.

Responsibilities include:

coordination between multiple stakeholders to develop project support and participation, scopes of work, budgets, finance plans, consultant acquisition, contract negotiations and supplemental agreements coordinated with Procurement invoice approval; liaison with elected officials and board, agency staff, special interest groups, civic organization, and the public, formal presentations to elected boards and public organizations, coordination with resource agencies, private development, private transportation companies, utilities, land owners, and federal agencies, technical writing, oversight and review, and leadership of project teams and committees.

Provides technical support with development and implementation of transit and multimodal projects of the department or other agencies including participation in advisory, technical and steering committees, providing technical reviews, leading multi-agency and multidisciplinary task teams, and coordinating with stakeholders, resource agencies, providing development community, transportation…
